Lemon is the main fruit in Italy. Many cakes and pastries are prepared on its basis, especially the famous liqueur Limoncello. But few of us know about the popular Italian beverage which is used after an abundant holiday to relieve weight in the stomach and facilitate digestion.
A decoction of a bay leaf with lemon, which is usually drunk after eating. And in the winter it is drunk warmly for colds. It is an excellent natural remedy for stomach pain and nausea, which can be prepared in just 10 minutes.
- 16 oz water
- 1 large or 2 smaller lemons
- 3 bay leaves
- honey to taste
Wash the lemon thoroughly with a brush and warm water, then peel it with a potato peeler, being careful not to touch the bitter white part.
Start by boiling the water, add lemon peel and bay leaf. Let the preparation infuse for 15 minutes. After this time, you can filter and voila, your drink is ready.
Add honey to taste if desired
In addition to the bay leaf, you can add carnation or a little fresh ginger to the tea for good digestion and weight loss. After cooking, you can optionally add the juice of half a lemon and sweeten it with sugar.
