Daily Aspirin ‘Could ‘Prevent Colon Cancer,’ But Causes Other Serious Side Effects

We have been told by the doctors that taking Aspirin can help in preventing heart disease and stroke. As researches develop and sometimes prove the contrary, we are left to choose what to believe in. The latest is that taking Aspirin can prevent Colon Cancer in people of the age of fifty and sixty. Now, don’t use it right away, it must be under doctor’s orders!

The United States Preventive Services Task Force is the first to broadly recommend that taking Aspirin daily can prevent Colon Cancer. In fact, it is the only medical organization that has given such instruction for cancer prevention.

A recent study conducted by the Danish Cancer Center Society Research Center in the Annals of Internal Medicine proves for a fact that if using a daily treatment of a small Aspirin for a day or two, can decrease the percentage of Colon Cancer about 30 %. A small Aspirin pill or a (baby Aspirin )in particular is said to be the one that has reduced the risk for 27%.  It is also stated that (NSAIDS) – non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications like Ibuprofen, can reduce the risk for up to 30 %.

The study was broad and had more than 10.000 patients and 102.000 control participants.

The group of health investigators and scientists said: “Long-term, continuous use of low-dose aspirin and long-term use of non-aspirin (anti-inflammatory drugs) were associated with reduced colorectal cancer risk.”

In conclusion, it does not exactly say for how long but it does say that it should be continuously used.

As any other study, this one too has its own gaps. That’s because it included people that had been using baby Aspirin by doctor’s prescription, meaning regularly and not on their own choice (OTC) Over The Counter.

The study also did not have any information on their family history of genetics, obesity, diet and other important factors.

The United States Preventive Services Task Force claims that using a low dose of Aspirin on a daily bases in individuals age between 50 to 69 is beneficial because they are considered a high-risk group.

NSAID drugs and a low dose of Aspirin are good against Colon Cancer, but Really Bad For Heart Disease, Stroke And Gastrointestinal Bleeding

The new instructions given by the United States Preventive Services Task Force about the benefits of Aspirin and Ibuprofen were contradicted by the FDA-(the food and drug administration). The matter is that these above-mentioned drugs are proved to be very dangerous for the heart and the intestines. Many gastrointestinal complications and diseases like intestinal bleeding, for example, are related to the usage of Aspirin and Ibuprofen.

Aspirin is less dangerous than Ibuprofen regarding heart problems. NSAID drugs like Ibuprofen can cause heart failure and heart attacks even if not used for a longer time. People with a weak heart and preexisting conditions are the most vulnerable.

Last year FDA put an accent on which patients should use Aspirin for treatment and prevention. They are only those who have experienced heart attacks or have any conditions related to the heart. Aspirin may prevent heart attack, but there is always a risk…

So, Aspirin may be good for the heart but it is indeed bad for the intestine. It can cause Internal intestinal bleeding, Crohn’s disease, Bowel Inflammation, Leaky Gut, Gastritis, intestinal perforations, and other stomach and intestinal problems.

The risk grows with age. People of the age of 59 to 69 suffer the most.

The instructions from FDA clearly point out that those who have a 10% risk of heart attack and a lifetime expectancy of a decade may use Aspirin on their own will only if They Do Not Have Any Gastrointestinal Conditions.

It is important to mention that it can also cause brain bleeding.

Over 40 % of Americans use Aspirin for primary and secondary heart attack prevention. This percentage is expected to grow if Aspirin is recommended by the experts.

It is important to mention that it can also cause brain bleeding.
