Have a Good Night’s Sleep With Bananas and Cinnamon

We work hard all day and when we get home, our body needs a restful night’s sleep to recover and rejuvenate. Not getting the proper amount of sleep suppresses our immune system, which can lead to illness, hypertension, depression and many other health problems.

There may be times when you want to sleep, but you can’t find a way to fall asleep. These sleep disorders affect over 70 million Americans. Many resort to sleeping pills, but with long-term daily use, your body will eventually won’t sleep without them.

Others have found a natural way to help them sleep better: drinking banana tea before going to bed.

Banana Tea for Insomnia

Banana tea is not just a drink with an unusual exotic aroma and a pleasant caramel taste. The product contains a lot of potassium, which regulates blood pressure and magnesium, which helps to relax the muscles. Vitamin B6 stabilizes the nervous system and triggers sleep regulation mechanisms.

In addition, adding cinnamon to the drink helps regulate blood sugar levels. This is especially important in the evening to avoid an increase in sugar levels at bedtime.

Ingredients
1 organic banana
4 cups of water
pinch of cinnamon

Preparation
Boil water in a medium pot on high heat.
Cut off and discard both ends of the banana and add the banana to the boiling water (don’t peel it).


Reduce heat to medium and let boil for 10 minutes.
Place a colander or strainer of a mug or cup and pour banana water through it.
Sprinkle some cinnamon and enjoy!

You can sweeten warm tea with a small amount of honey. Drink one hour before bedtime.

To switch the body to sleep, turn off the television an hour before bedtime. Reading, listening to audio or relaxing music will help you better adjust to sleep.
